The Scottish Golf Union and Scottish Ladies' Golfing Association have produced a number of new guides and resources to assist Golf Club Conveners and other Committee members with their respective activities.

Membership and Visitor Marketing in Practice

Marketing your Golf Club is no longer a 'nice to do', it's a fundamental. The SGU and SLGA have worked with industry experts to provide a best practice template that allows you to analyse your club's member base and develop a marketing plan that fits the needs of your club

Do you know how your members feel about the facilities and service levels at your club?  The specimen survey listed under Related Documents section can be adapted to suit your specific needs.  Guidelines for implementation are also provided.

Have you lost any members in recent years?  Do you know why they left your club?  The very brief specimen survey listed under Related Documents can be adapted and used to assist you in identifying some of the reasons that members leave, helping you to address these issues and prevent members leaving for the same reasons in future.

Pocket Guides for Golfers

The Rules of Golf, Etiquette and Your Handicap are three of the most important elements of being a golfer, whether you have a number of years of experience in the game or you have just taken up golf.

To help golfers of all levels and abilities, the SGU has produced a set of three pocket guides to give a better and easier understanding of these areas of the game.  These are now available for clubs to buy for their members or committee members in various order quantities.

SGU Official Prize Vouchers

Official Prize Vouchers for club competitions and championships are available to buy from the Scottish Golf Union at a cost to member clubs of £7 per 100. These vouchers make ideal prizes and are widely accepted by golf clubs, golf retail outlets and other commercial outlets. Vouchers are blank allowing the club to stipulate the redemption value. Once redeemed, the supplier will return the voucher to the issuing golf club or Area Association for reimbursement.
