Landscape & Heritage
Scottish golf courses are renowned for their stunning landscape settings and surroundings, many are even in or near designated protected areas, so it is important that our courses integrate well with the surrounding landscape character and work with the topography and vegetation to ensure the views, vistas and quality of the playing experience are maximised.
It is important we also protect and enhance areas of historical and archaeological significance to make sure we preserve our piece of our nation’s heritage.
Below are case studies of landscape & heritage best practice. For more information visit www.sgeg.org.uk
