Case Studies

The Scottish Golf Union/Scottish Ladies’ Golfing Association in conjunction with the R&A Golf Course Committee have produced a series of case studies highlighting sustainable course management practices adopted by the greenkeeping staff at a variety of Scottish golf clubs, sustaining their operations primarily through annual membership subscriptions.

The case studies highlight where adopted practices have produced, operational cost savings, higher quality playing surfaces and courses that are able to cope better with the increasing challenges of a changing, and at times much wetter, climate.

Case studies are presented for Golf Club Officials and Greenkeepers referenced in two formats; an executive summary giving an overview and a full case study outlining in detail the practices adopted and their impact.
