GUIDANCE ON COMPETITION ADMINISTRATION IN ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS

The attached Related Document contains guidance on managing the impact of adverse weather conditions on competition administration offering helpful hints on topics such as Safety; Casual Water; Flooded Bunkers; Discontinuance and Resumption of Play; Use of squeegees; Relocating holes or teeing grounds; Preferred Lies; Declaring Bunkers out of play for renovation; Use of fairway mats; Requirement to lift ball from fairway and place ball in semi-rough; Artifically surfaced teeing grounds.

SWEEPS

Clubs are reminded that entry to sweeps must be optional and not combined with the entry fee to competition itself (Rules of Amateur Status, Appendix – Policy on Gambling).
