MATCH & HANDICAP CONVENERS PRACTICAL GUIDE

The SGU, in conjunction with the SLGA, has published a Practical Guide for Match & Handicap Conveners presenting an overview of the Handicap Conveners role, their responsibilities within a golf club and outlining the key elements of the CONGU UHS relating to administering handicaps on behalf of club members.

This publication was issued to all golf clubs affiliated to the Scottish Golf Union in Summer 2008 and to clubs affiliated to the SLGA early in 2009. We have a limited number of these booklets still available in printed form or a copy can be downloaded from the attached Related Document. HANDICAPPING REMINDER POSTERS

Following the success of the Rules Reminder Posters we have produced two new handicapping posters which are available from Related Documents. Poster 1 clarifies the player's responsibilities under the CONGU Unified Handicapping System and Poster 2 explains the Stableford/Nett Double Bogey Adjustment limiting the impact of 'bad' holes for handicap adjustment purposes.
