The Scottish Golf Union has a wide range of sponsors who invest money, resource and support into the amateur game in Scotland. Sponsorship income generates around 20% of the SGU’s revenue per annum and has grown significantly in recent years with the recruitment of several major long-term partners.

Dunfermline Building Society (which includes Dunfermline Direct) is a trading division of Nationwide Building Society. The biggest supporters of junior golf in Scotland with sponsorship of the SGU Junior Masters and Junior Club of the Year Awards to the tune of £150,000 over three years. Dunfermline Building Society are also sponsors of the Scottish Golf Dinner and launched the Fairway Savers Account for golfers in October 2007, which has seen more than 1500 golfers sign up to this fantastic affinity account.

Loretto School Golf Academy

Official sponsors of the Scottish Boys & Girls U14s Championship since 2004, the Loretto School Golf Academy, based just outside Edinburgh, provides a unique opportunity for children from 12 years old and upwards to develop their golfing talent alongside a first-class education. The Academy’s aim is to foster golfing skills in as many pupils as possible and to play a significant part in producing Scottish, British and World Champions.
