Boys Amateur Championship - Six Scots Through to Match Play
10/08/11Craigielaw’s Grant Forrest was the highest finisher among a group of six Scots – including a trio from Dumfries & County - who have successfully qualified for the match play stages of the Boys Amateur Championship at Burnham and Berrow and Enmore Park after today’s second round. Forrest posted rounds of 77 and 71 to qualify for the last 64 on a six-over par tally of 148, a shot ahead of Bradley Neil (Blairgowrie), Greig Marchbank, Daniel McConnachie, Liam Johnston (all Dumfries & County), while Lawrence Allan (Alva) made it through on the cut mark of 150 to reach the match play stages. Frenchman Kenny Subrigas was the clear leader, with rounds of 71 and 68 to leave him three shots ahead at the top with three-under par tally.
