It is with deep regret that the Scottish Golf Union announce the cancellation of the Belhaven Best Captains & Secretaries Championship Grand Final, scheduled for Pollok GC tomorrow (Wednesday, 5 October, 2011).

This is due to current adverse weather conditions in the west of the country and the severe weather forecast for tomorrow.

The SGU and sponsors Belhaven are disappointed at this situation, but the decision has been made in the interest of competitors travelling from throughout Scotland.

It is the second time the event has been postponed in recent weeks and a further update regarding the final will be communicated in due course.

The national championship for Scotland's captains and secretaries, open to all SGU affiliated golf clubs, is now in its sixth year. The championship has quickly become one of the country's most popular events.
