Home Internationals: Play Suspended Due to Rain

15/08/12

Play has been suspended on the first day of play at the Home Internationals due to heavy rain.

After defending champions England claimed a 9.5-5.5 win over Wales at Gailes Links, the sunshine gave way to torrential rain which forced a suspension of play just before 6pm.

In the other match, Scotland lead 5.5-4.5 overall but Ireland have the edge in the reamining matches on the course. Ireland lead in four of them, with the other match all square. As matters stand, there is doubt whether play will resume today.
