The SGU Junior Tour was launched in 2004 for three main reasons: 1. To provide leading Scottish Boys (Under 18 years of age) with additional high quality competitive play 2. To provide SGU coaching staff and selectors an opportunity to assess players and their development over challenging courses that require the full range of shots to be played and in the same conditions 3. To provide an appropriate competition structure and added incentive for U18 players to pursue higher honours. The fomat is stroke play .

When Rowallan Castle estate was laid out more than 700 years ago it could have been with championship golf in mind.
Golfers will marvel at the way Colin Montgomerie and his team are shaping the course with sensitivity to provide not only a fair test of golf, but also a haven for local flora and fauna. Players will negotiate winding streams, impressive mature woodlands, and even a Bronze Age settlement. This is prime golfing real estate which is set to become an instant modern classic.
