Regional Junior Fourms
Are you involved in the development of junior golf? If so, we want to hear from you.
As part of Scottish Golf’s commitment to growing the game, we will be providing investment into a new National Junior Golf Framework to support the recruitment and retention of young people in our game.
We are hosting a nationwide series of regional forums in March through to May to help shape our future framework, designed to gather insights from PGA Professionals, Junior Convenors/Organisers and Volunteer Coaches. The forums will give those involved in the frontline of junior development the opportunity to share thoughts and ideas, discuss best practice and provide feedback in areas such as the structure of club programmes, golf in schools, coaching, junior events and competitions and other discussion topics where you feel support is needed.
The forums will be hosted in partnership with the PGA, facilitated by Scottish Golf’s Junior Development Manager Gavin Forrester and Allan Martin, Coach Education Manager for The PGA in Scotland. The format will be interactive with discussion across a variety of themes and we are delighted to offer a wide range of venues and dates to choose from, we hope you can join us.
All clubs who attend will be receive a Scottish Golf junior resource pack, which contains coaching box sets with a series of ideas on how to deliver fun golf activities.
