Job Vacancies: Event Co-ordinator & Club Event Co-ordinator

Two exciting vacancies have arisen in the Events Department at Scottish Golf, the governing body for the amateur game in this country.

Established in October 2015, our focus is on making golf in Scotland a great experience for everyone, supporting clubs, growing the game through new audiences and developing talent. Based at The Duke’s in St Andrews, two well-organised and highly-motivated candidates are being sought for the full-time roles of Event Co-ordinator and Club Event Co-ordinator.

Working within a small and dedicated team reporting to the Head of Events, both positions will work across Scottish Golf’s portfolio of national championships for golfers of all ages and abilities.

You will be responsible for delivering the varied event schedule, from the domestic calendar to hosting national and international matches. The successful candidates need to have a passion for golf, but above all else we are seeking hungry and determined individuals with the organisational and communication skills to provide golfers with an outstanding experience.

The main focus of the Event Co-ordinator will be to manage and deliver National Championships to an excellent standard ensuring exceptional player, venue and sponsor satisfaction levels, additionally supporting with the delivery of any club events as required.

The primary focus of the Club Event Co-ordinator will be to manage and deliver National Club Events to the same levels, additionally supporting with the delivery of any National Championships.

The successful candidates will be required to liaise, maintain and build excellent working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders including host clubs, competitors, Areas / Counties, sponsors, internal departments and suppliers in order to deliver outstanding events.

Salaries reflecting the post holder’s experience and position within the organisation will be offered.

The hours for each position are 37.5 / Monday to Friday 9 – 5pm, with additional hours at events.
