Following an internal change, an exciting job vacancy has arisen within Scottish Golf for the role of Handicapping and Course Rating Officer to lead our work in this area within the Development Team.
Our vision is for golf to be Scotland’s game for everyone, inspiring a nation to love golf in all its forms and contribute to a healthier, inclusive and aspirational country and we are seeking applicants to join our team and play a key role in achieving this vision.
Handicapping and course rating are key components of our core services and the successful candidate will contribute to the organisation’s strategic ambitions by delivering support to clubs through a wide range of education, resources and training across both areas. The Handicapping and Course Rating Officer will also work closely with partners including the R&A and CONGU, while supporting the work of our team of Regional Club Development Officers and volunteers at a local level.
Ideal candidates must have experience of managing a diverse workload, possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate experience of managing a team of colleagues or volunteers, have a good knowledge of handicapping and course rating and have a passion to grow the game of golf. Applicants should be self-motivated, focused and demonstrate an ability to work using their own initiative in a fast-paced environment.
