Tour Professional – Kylie Walker

DOB: 30/08/86 Born: Glasgow SG career: 2002 – 2010

Bio: Walker has come through the amateur ranks to go on and become a multiple Ladies European Tour winner, acting as an inspiration for emerging Scots.

The Glaswegian, whose partner is fellow professional Scott Henry, had a successful amateur career, representing GB&I in the 2009 Vagliano Trophy, twice winning the St Rule Trophy and winning the 2008 Scottish Ladies’ Golfing Association Order of Merit. She turned professional at the beginning of 2010 after finishing ninth in the LET Qualifying School at the end of 2009.

The year 2014 proved a stellar period. In January 2014, Walker won her first professional tournament, on the ALPG Tour at the Renault Ladies Pro-Am in Australia. In May, she gained her first victory on the Ladies European Tour at the Dutch Ladies Open in Amsterdam after a play-off. Weeks later, in July, she then won her second LET title, the Ladies German Open after another play-off, with Charley Hull.

Walker was a recipient of Scottish Golf Support Limited (SGSL) support funding from 2011 –13, a partnership of various golf organisations backed by the Scottish Government to help the country’s young professionals progress.
