A star-studded field assemble at Royal Aberdeen this week for the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open, and Scottish Golf Membership Card holders can save money on the entry price in an exclusive offer.

For the leading European Tour event over the classic north east links, spectators can save £5 on their day ticket, or £10 off a season ticket, with the new Membership Card.

Scottish Golf Membership CardThe action at Royal Aberdeen, which tees off with the first round on Thursday, is not to be missed as defending champion Phil Mickelson headlines a quality field packed with Major champions, global stars and home favourites.

Two-time US Open champion Rory McIlroy, USA Ryder Cup star Rickie Fowler and 2013 Race to Dubai and FedEx Cup winner Henrik Stenson are among those competing.

Darren Clarke, Ernie Els, Sir Nick Faldo, Padraig Harrington, Paul Lawrie, José Maria Olazábal, Louis Oosthuizen and Justin Rose are all Major champions looking to shine, with another leading trio of Englishman joining them – Ian Poulter, Luke Donald and Lee Westwood.

After impressing on American soil so far in 2014, Inverness-born Russell Knox will showcase his emerging talent in front of a home crowd for the first time as he makes his eagerly-awaited Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open debut.

Ryder Cup hopeful Stephen Gallacher will seek to continue his quest, while Aberdeen natives Lawrie and Richie Ramsay are on home turf and seeking to use that to their advantage.

As well as the Membership Card offer, Under-16s go free throughout the week when accompanied by an adult. There will be great entertainment provided for budding young golfers at the ClubGolf activity zone, located just outside the tented village. Activities include crazy golf putting, a chipping challenge, PGA professional coaching from the Paul Lawrie Foundation and much more.
