Scottish Golf has received a tremendous response to the launch of its new digital solution with over 100 golf clubs across the country registering an interest within the first 48 hours.
The new solution, developed by OCS Software who currently automate 32 professional golf tours internationally, will allow clubs to take control of their business operations through one centralised club management system and an App that will be available to download for golfers.
The announcement came at Edinburgh’s International Conference Centre where 450 delegates attended Scottish Golf’s second National Conference, with thousands more tuning in online.
The club management solution will be free of charge to all Scottish Golf affiliated clubs and includes a booking tee-sheet, handicap and membership management, point of sale, integrated payment processing, tour level live scoring software with more features to come.
In addition, golf clubs will receive a fully customisable and easy-to-configure website, choosing from a range of themed templates enabling clubs to create their own unique website to promote their club to potential members and visitors. The website is also free of charge and includes complimentary hosting.
Scottish Golf Chief Commercial Officer, Iain Forsyth said:
“We want to enable golf clubs by providing a platform for free, to connect golf clubs across the country and golfers domestically and globally. Golfers are already deciding how they want to play the game and we want to embrace change and provide a platform that enables golf clubs to take control of how they run their golf club and engage with the wider golfing population.”
Golfers ‘My Scottish Golf Club’ App
Golf club members will be able to download the ‘My Scottish Golf Club’ App free of charge, enabling them to book tee times quickly and easily, enter competitions with real-time live scoring and access a virtual GPS caddie with access to 38,000 golf courses worldwide.
