Club Committees: Governance & Finance
Following on from a successful delivery of the ‘Marketing on a Budget’ regional seminars delivered in partnership with Scottish Golf in Spring 2017, Scottish Golf & Club Managers Association are running their fourth series of regional events across Scotland this October. Due to exceptional demand within the golf industry, these workshops will be delivered on the topics of Governance and Finance.
Club Committees – The Good, The Bad & The Highly Dysfunctional
After 20 years of supporting clubs in their search for effective collaborative governance, Kevin Fish has seen some good, some bad and some highly dysfunctional club committees.
It is accepted within our industry that high levels of membership satisfaction are underpinned by effective collaborative governance, yet few club committees demonstrate the common sense practices that would help their clubs thrive in these very challenging times.
As the topic in most demand from their members, SGCMA has invited the top scoring presenter from the MDP 1 programme, Kevin Fish CCM to deliver in your region on this subject. To help you and your committee run the club in a more business-like manner book now and bring a member of your committee too.
