PGA 1st Year Trainee/Training Applicant – West Kilbride Golf Club

A fantastic opportunity for a PGA 1st Year Trainee or Training Applicant is currently available for the right candidate to join the busy Professional team at West Kilbride Golf Club. A highly motivated, enthusiastic individual is required to work at the busy members club in Ayrshire. The club is a fantastic links course that offers year round golf. Applicants must be hardworking, reliable and willing to learn. The individual must have good communication skills and be able to deliver a high standard of customer service.

The role will include retail, merchandising, greeting members and visitors as well as running the busy starters sheet, coaching and custom fit opportunities are also available.

The position will require the applicant to work weekdays and weekends.

Head Greenkeeper – Boat of Garten Golf Club

Applications are invited for the position of Head Greenkeeper at Boat of Garten Golf and Tennis Club which has circa 600 members and attracts over 4,000 visiting players each year. Winner of Best Golf Course in its category at the 2014 and 2016 Scottish Golf Tourism Awards. The Club is located within the scenic Cairngorm National Park, close to Aviemore and just 30 miles south of the city of Inverness.

Deputy Head Greenkeeper – Kings Golf Club

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of the greenkeeping team at the new Kings Course, Inverness.

Working under the direction of the Head Greenkeeper the successful applicant will be an integral part of the team working to exceptionally high standards. The ideal candidate should:

  • be in possession of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent sports turf management qualification
  • be in possession of PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates (not essential but advantageous)
  • be competent on modern greenkeeping machinery
  • have good communication and timekeeping skills
  • be able to work as part of a team

PGA Assistant Professional – Ladybank Golf Club

An opportunity has become available for a Trainee or recently qualified PGA Professional who is driven, self motivated and has great enthusiasm for retailing/coaching/club fitting. With excellent customer service skills the successful candidate can expect to work at a forward thinking golf club that has excellent opportunities to further skills and knowledge, whilst earning an appropriate salary/commission.

Alongside the ability to look after our many members and visitors the successful candidate will be enthusiastic, energetic, have an eye for detail and merchandising. Good strong administration skills are essential along with a positive attitude and ability to work hard in a small team environment within a busy seasonal business.

Our junior section is the envy of many in the UK with around 100 junior members actively involved in activities and coaching. Part of the role will be to assist with coaching whilst further developing and improving our junior set up.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate will work 4 days per week annually, with holiday entitlements etc as an employee of the business.
