Strategy & Leadership
In these challenging economic times, Club Managers are under greater pressure than ever from their committees, owners and members to lead, create and implement business strategies that can guarantee the continued success of their clubs.
Club Managers and Secretaries invariably come into the industry with some strong skill sets brought with them from a previous career, however the requirement of the role now is to have an ability to manage a wide variety of skills to cope with the demands of the job.
Scottish Golf, working closely with the Club Managers Association of Europe, now offer clubs the Scottish Golf Club Management Training programme, helping to deliver new leadership, strategy and management skills to club employees to supplement their existing qualifications and experience in each of the core competencies of the modern club manager. More than 70 Clubs have been represented on the programme in the last 3 years and we would encourage your club to follow their example. Details of the programme including testimonials from Club Managers who have been through the course, are available in this section.
We also cover the Scottish Golf Education Partnership which features a series of seminars, training courses and presentations from partners across the golf spectrum, designed to offer golf clubs the best opportunities of learning from experts across the industry.
