Outdoor Access Code

With the majority of Scottish golf courses situated on land used by walkers, dog walkers and areas of the countryside with more than one specific purpose, it is important that both golf clubs and golfers are aware of access rights for users.

The Outdoor Access Code promotes enjoying Scotland’s countryside responsibly and the Land Reform Act Scotland (2003) brought a number of changes to the legislation affecting golf clubs.
