Four Scottish amateur golfers will travel to Chile to compete in an international championship supported by The R&A in 2019 as the South American Amateur Championships get underway at Los Leones in January.
Scotland’s Shannon McWilliam, who represented Great Britain and Ireland at the Curtis Cup Match in June will be hoping to get 2019 off to a flying start. McWilliam will be joined in South America by fellow Scots Connie Jaffrey, Kieran Cantley and Euan Walker.
The 2019 South American Amateur Championships will be played from Thursday 10 to Sunday 13 January and will be the first international amateur event of its type played under the new Rules of Golf.
