Develop effective professional relationships with Local Authorities, Education Leads, Teachers, Active Schools Managers & Coordinators, relevant Local Authority Sports Development Staff and related key partners to develop, maintain and maximise introductory experiences for children at primary and secondary schools during curricular and extra-curricular by having a ‘basket’ of options to include Golf as part of a multi-skills and multi-sport context. Deliver training where required to support the training needs of staff within the education sector, Active Schools Coordinators and volunteers to ensure the introduction to golf is a quality experience. Develop effective community engagement through the family unit, capitalising on school to club and club-school links. Work closely with Regional Club Development Officers to identify schools and clubs that can work together to provide sustainable opportunities for children to experience the game of golf.
Ann is a former national and international sports person (basketball and handball) with 28 years of experience working in the golf industry. Ann has an HND in Leisure Management, has extensive experience in Sports Development, Club Development, Event Management and spending many years with the Golf Foundation and ClubGolf has given her a breadth and wealth of knowledge which she incorporates into her current role with Scottish Golf. An active member at Strathaven Golf Club where she sits on the committee and is the Ladies Vice-Captain, playing off a handicap of 12.
