David is a well-regarded PGA Professional, known for his experience as a tournament pro and, for the last seven years, for his golf coaching. David has a passion for player development across all levels of abilities, focusing in on the individual’s needs and goals and their long-term development plan.


David has over 20 years playing experience, starting with a reasonable amateur career that included winning the six-man European Boys’ Team in Wales and representing Scotland at every level. Turned professional in 1998 and gained experience across the European and Challenge Tours. Four-time time winner on EuroPro Tour, 2007 British Assistants champion and, notably, the 2009 Scottish PGA champion. He has also won 75 Pro-Am’s in Scotland. In conjunction with playing competitively on the Tartan Tour, David coaches a variety of different players including 2016 South African Amateur champion Craig Ross, who also won on the EuroPro Tour circuit in 2014, professional Neil Fenwick and through to some exciting young Scottish Golf Academy players. Further qualifications include:  working towards Level 3 Golf Coaching, PGA Foundation Degree in Golf, Safeguarding Children NSPCC.
