Working with the Active Schools Networks, PE staff and key Local Authority Education leads to further embed school and community golfing opportunities for young in the north of Scotland. As well as facilitating training and providing support for Local Authorities for developing curricular and extra-curricular golf, Fraser’s role sees him work in partnership with the Regional Club Development Officers to ensure opportunities are connected to clubs locally. Working with Further Education and Higher Education as well as senior secondary pupils in Golf Leadership is also a priority area, with the aim to upskill potential coaches to inspire future generations of golfers in Scotland in their communities.
Fraser has a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science, as well as HND’s in both Sports Coaching with Sports Development and Marketing. Fraser has since gained extensive experience in the sports development industry I Scotland, spending eight years in Active Schools and wider community engagement roles. He has also managed football and community sport programmes in London – where he worked with Tottenham Hotspur in the Community. His experience of managing partnerships and planning are key to his role of Regional School and Community Officer. Fraser is an avid golfer playing most of his golf at Dunfermline GC, enjoys playing football, running, swimming and getting outdoors and travelling Scotland.
