Mandy develops an understanding of the needs of the clubs in her region and then delivers products and services that support the growth of golf in Scotland through those clubs. She assists clubs to utilize the tools available to them through their affiliation to Scottish Golf, such as governance and business planning, HR and H&S support, benchmarking, education, marketing guidance and membership recruitment.


Mandy graduated with a degree in Sports Science with Honours in Sports Medicine from Glasgow University in 1998 and has worked in sport ever since. During her University years, she was a member of the Army Officer Training Corps on a part time basis, where she learned valuable skills especially around teamwork, leadership and organisation. Straight out of University, she started her working life at Gleneagles within the leisure department, then moved into a Club development job with Tennis Scotland followed by an Active Schools role in North East Fife. With such experience, she joined Scottish Golf, firstly with ClubGolf, and then currently as a Regional Club Development Officer. In 2016, she gained the CMAE Diploma in Club Management which has helped her develop a better understanding of the Club Core Competencies. Sport has always been a big part of her life, including swimming, cycling, snowboarding, kayaking, running and gym classes.
