Responsibilities

Mandy brings vast experience to the role of Regional Team Manager, having previously worked as a ClubGolf Regional Manager and Regional Club Development Officer. While still retaining a remit of direct support to clubs within West Lothian and Edinburgh (West), Mandy leads our team of seven Regional Club Development Officers, ensuring high quality support is delivered to clubs across the country within our Core Service areas. The role also has responsibility for management of the Regional Club Development Fund, which provides financial investment to clubs to support sustainable projects, and the training and development of our regional team.

Notes

Mandy graduated with a degree in Sports Science with Honours in Sports Medicine from Glasgow University in 1998 and has worked in sport ever since. During her University years, she was a member of the Army Officer Training Corps on a part time basis, where she learned valuable skills especially around teamwork, leadership and organisation. Straight out of University, she started her working life at Gleneagles within the leisure department, then moved into a Club development job with Tennis Scotland followed by an Active Schools role in North East Fife. With such experience, she joined Scottish Golf, firstly with ClubGolf, and then currently as a Regional Club Development Officer. In 2016, she gained the CMAE Diploma in Club Management which has helped her develop a better understanding of the Club Core Competencies. Sport has always been a big part of her life, including swimming, cycling, snowboarding, kayaking, running and gym classes.
