25 September 2017 | Scottish Golf Strategy: Benefits of the Strategy

Golf in Scotland requires a new direction to provide greater opportunity for investment and growth to support clubs and players at all levels. To achieve this change, we require your support and a positive vote at our forthcoming Special General Meeting (SGM) in Stirling on 2 December.

The vote will include Affiliation changes and a review of Scottish Golf’s Articles of Association, which will allow the delivery of an innovative 4-year strategy aimed at bringing much needed investment to our game. This investment will go towards supporting clubs, increasing participation and performance programmes, benefiting all stakeholders across the game.

To improve your understanding of how these changes will impact your Area or County, as well as clubs and members, we have created a series of summary documents which we encourage you to share with your committee:

Further details for the SGM with formal notification and relevant papers will be sent out in advance of the meeting. In the meantime, should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us on 01334 466477 or via e-mail info@scottishgolf.org

Thank you for your continued support and I look forward to working with you to deliver a bright future for golf in Scotland.
