Dougie Vipond

Respected broadcaster and presenter, Dougie returns to host the Scottish Golf Awards for a second year after a successful debut in 2016. He has presented a range of sporting events including the Scottish Cup final, international rugby, Melrose 7s, World Championship Mountain Biking, Three Day Eventing and the Bowls World Championship. Dougie was one of the BBC’s presenters for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014. He has also presented BBC Scotland’s The Adventure Show and the rural affairs series, Landward. Dougie was also one of the founding members of pop band, Deacon Blue, and is the group’s drummer.

Alison Walker

Alison has more than 20 years of experience working with the BBC in television and radio and will make her Scottish Golf Awards debut in 2017. Alison, a freelance sports reporter, was the first female voice to be heard reporting on live football for the BBC in the 1990s and has been all over the world reporting on major sporting events ever since, including five Olympic Games. An avid golfer herself, Alison plays off a handicap of 21 and was an ambassador for Scottish Golf’s ‘Get into Golf’ campaign in 2016.
